just lovely!

So cool! Bravo for this original game!

(+1)

It's a hard game. I love it. It's very realistic depiction of trying to walk away from relationship. Sad. Very creative realisation. Painfully pretty.

(+1)

This is amazing. This is such a poignant story and narrated in such an innovative and creative way. You are a real artist. A really good game designer and story teller. I am very glad I found this through this article by Nate Shearer: https://next-play.com.au/how-to-walk-out-the-door/

Not joking how much this captured me and I’d love to some day work with you on a game.

(+1)

very fun, fast-paced, and real!

(+1)

This is really great. The cinematography, sound ambience and design, and the juicy feedback all really come together here to make this an impactful experience. It feels like something is wrong, but I'm not quite sure what - and that's just the way I want it. The difficulty was also perfect for me, took me about 5 tries to get all the way through.

(+1)

Wow really great work! Love the use of video in a completely different way, and the use of typing.. Great pacing, and it's enjoyable to get to the end - really challenging to get the balance of that right, but it's not repetitive at all. Great art!

(+1)

Fantastic concept, love how the pacing increases with each attempt as you learn the steps to type out. 10/10

(+1)

This is a really cool game and concept ! Love it. And have different starting is a nice touch !

(+4)

I'm speechless! This game is incredible! It's both original and familiar enough that you can understand it without any explanation. I'm not just talking about the mechanics, but the story too.
The difficulty level is just right: challenging enough to make you want to try again, but not so hard that it becomes repetitive and frustrating. The way the game gets easier because you already know what words are coming next is genius, both from a game design perspective and in terms of the story. You're always on the verge of leaving, but you're always dragged back to the source of your pain until you're finally familiar enough with the cycle to break it.

Good job <3

oh man, this is wonderful to hear, thank you! im happy you had this experience with it:)

(+1)

its so annoying trying to stop yourself from typing space after every other word because it switched to the next sentence and you'll get penalized for it.

(2 edits)

Yeah a couple others have also expressed the same thing. Although if it doesn’t automatically switch to the next sentence it might be unclear whether there’s more left to the phrase (and would also add 12 extra characters total, making it significantly more difficult). This has made me think perhaps a solution would be to prevent spacebar from triggering an error for a moment after finishing each phrase… thx for the feedback!

i used macro, i don't care, i can't type fast

(1 edit) (+1)

OMG OMG OMG
Dude this is so gooooood I love it so much
Well done <3

(1 edit)

max <333 Thank you man:)

(+1)

something is wrong. i can get "st" for #1 but then no matter how many times I type "ay" after it, I can't get him to stay.

please get him to stay. i am so sad now.

(Seriously this was so well done.)

i think the secret is stopping at “st” and letting it run forever!

(1 edit) (+2)

i just noticed of the start ,the position of both people change every time you start again, great detail

:):)

(+1)

genius

(+1)

This is super awesome and i really enjoyed playing!

(1 edit) (+1)

Great game!!! Very creative and so engaging for something so short

thanks!!!!

(+3)

this was such an innovative use of photography & typing game mechanics. what a brilliant bite-sized game.

(+1)

ahh thank you! that means a lot:)

(+2)

Woah this is really awesome! What a fantastic idea and super smooth execution

(+3)

Awesome. Great execution and oddly stressful :

(+2)(-1)

thank you! no stress, it's just a video game!

...

a video... game.

VIDEO game?!

(+2)

First game I've played in a while that made me hunch over like it was a boss fight. I needed to see this through. What a thrilling twist on the typing game.

hahah im glad to hear it :D

(+2)

Love this concept. Even as a fast typer I had to play a couple times sooo creative and makes me feel encouraged to be more creative with my next game!

ah this is lovely to hear :) u got this!

(+1)

really clever premise, but my wrists are starting to hurt from trying to type so fast so I don't think I'm going to be able to get to the end. love the concept though, really interesting way of telling a story

(+1)

thank you! :) & sorry bout the wrists, take care of the wrists! say some positive affirmations to them!

(+4)

I really like this game but man, as a person that takes their sweet time typing, it was frustrating (thought that's purely a skill issue on my part lol)

(+1)

i hear you! it's definitely been a challenge to balance this, considering how much typing speeds vary between ppl (& with the set 20 second constraint). glad you enjoyed it nonetheless :)

(+2)

Brilliant.

thank you!

(+3)

just the tutorial I needed - thanks anton!!!

(+5)

wow, the stress of completing the prompt with the timer at hand, while also realizing whats going on between the two characters, was intense. And the idea that it loops back to the beginning when you complete the prompts is so jean-yas. It made me introspect and reflect on my own life which is rareeeeeeeee. it also made me realize damn, im actually horrible at typing fast fml. but anyway another banger and i loveddddd the experience

usmannnn, thank u my man <33

(+1)

really beautiful, so elegant and so simple but so perfectly crafted. really moved me

<3<3<3

(+1)

this is phenomenal

thank you <3

(+1)

I really like it

(+1)

did anyone make it to the end, I made it to "walk out the" but don't know what is the last word since I don't have the time to look up and see it , I assumed it was door and tried typing that at the letter o it ended , so if you did pls let me know what the ending was cause my fingers hurt

(+2)

WOAH! This was amazing. Idk if I've gone through all the variation of the footage but it's such a simple but effective way to creat suspense and questions

(+1)

Instructions unclear, I walked into the door.

(+1)

i think if u do it hard enough that might also work!

(+1)

Great game really enjoyed it!

(+2)

Peak. Not even done yet just peak.

hahaha 8)

(1 edit) (+2)

really excellent work here - amazing unity with the mechanics and hesitation and time-sensitive freaking out about what do next. really got my heart tied up in knots. 10/10

(+1)

thank you, i appreciate it! Im really glad that you had that experience:)

(+2)

absolute cinema actually, i’ve had ideas similar to this but not for a typing game, insane creativity :OOOOOO

once the idea clicked and i saw that YOUR LAST LOCATION SAVES!!?? my jaw was on the floor
